Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are your reactors made from?

Standard 304 and 316L stainless steel, with mirror or matte polish inside. Higher-grade alloys available on request for corrosive media.

Can you build Jacketed reactors for heating/cooling?

Yes. We supply jacketed reactors with circulation for steam, hot oil or chilled water, plus optional agitation (anchor, paddle, turbine) and CIP compatibility.

Which reactor material should I choose?

SS304 for general, non-corrosive products; SS316L for food, pharma and mildly corrosive media where a mirror finish and CIP are required; glass-lined steel for strong acids and alkalis that attack stainless. We match the material to your process sheet during quotation.

What capacity range do you build?

From 100 L pilot reactors up to 5000 L and larger production vessels, jacketed or non-jacketed, with atmospheric or pressure design.

Jacketed, limpet coil or electric heating – which one?

Jackets give the most even heat transfer and suit steam, hot water or thermal oil; limpet coils handle higher pressures; electric heating is the lowest-investment option where no plant steam exists. The right answer depends on your temperature curve and available utilities.

What is the typical lead time for a reactor?

Standard vessels leave the workshop in about 30-40 working days; engineered units with special alloys, agitation packages or third-party inspection run longer. The confirmed date is written into the sales contract.

Can you add agitation, CIP and control to a reactor?

Yes. Anchor, paddle, turbine and high-shear agitators, CIP spray balls, temperature control and VFD speed control are all available, matched to the product viscosity and batch process.
