Is UF a substitute for RO?
No. UF removes suspended solids, bacteria and colloids but not dissolved salts. It is often used upstream of RO as pretreatment, or alone where only particulate/bacterial removal is needed.
What maintenance does UF need?
Periodic backwash and occasional chemical cleaning (CIP) keep flux stable. We supply automatic backwash controllers.
