What pretreatment does an RO system need?
Upstream sand filter, activated carbon filter and micron filter protect the membranes from scaling and chlorine. A water analysis before installation determines the exact pretreatment.
Can it produce drinking water?
Yes for process and general use; for direct potable supply we add UV/ozone post-disinfection and a polishing stage per local standards.
