What is the difference between a mixing tank and a reactor?
A mixing tank blends, dissolves and homogenises without a rated pressure jacket; a reactor is built for controlled reaction under pressure/temperature. Many lines use a mixing tank upstream of the reactor.
Can it heat or cool?
An optional jacket adds heating/cooling. For atmospheric blending only, an unjacketed tank is more economical.
