Frequently Asked Questions

What is EDI and how is it different from mixed-bed?

EDI continuously deionizes using electricity and ion-exchange membranes with no acid/alkali regeneration, unlike mixed-bed which needs chemical regeneration. It needs RO permeate as feed.

What resistivity can it reach?

Typical output is 15–18 MΩ·cm, suitable for pharmaceutical, electronics and laboratory high-purity water.

What is the lead time for the GS-EDI1000?

Skid-mounted units like the GS-EDI1000 (1000 LPH (1 T/H)) are typically shipped 20-30 working days after the water analysis is confirmed. Larger engineered systems follow a project schedule agreed in the contract.

What feed water does the GS-EDI1000 need?

GS-EDI1000 is designed for a feed of RO permeate (≤ 1 μS/cm). A recent water analysis report lets us size the pretreatment correctly – that is the single most important factor for membrane and resin life. The system is built to ISO9001, CE.

What consumables and maintenance does the GS-EDI1000 require?

Routine work is limited to checking dosing/brine levels, logging pressure and conductivity, and replacing prefilters. Membranes and resin are long-life consumables; we publish expected replacement intervals in the manual and supply spares from stock. The system is built to ISO9001, CE.

Is the GS-EDI1000 certified and tested before shipment?

Yes. Every unit is wet-tested in our workshop before packing, and the frame and components follow ISO9001, CE. You receive the factory test report with the shipping documents.
