Krones Redesigns Contipure D Module to Raise Aseptic Filling Flexibility

Krones has redesigned its Contipure D preform sterilisation module, replacing the previous horizontal three-starwheel layout with up to three vertically stacked process levels that can be switched on or off independently. The change lets a single module cover different container formats and output rates, increasing speed by up to 38% versus the previous generation and extending hydrogen-peroxide exposure time by up to 40% where the process requires it. The new generation has reached series production and is already running at customer plants.
